Goshen College is a small liberal arts college that has a large life. We are in Goshen, Indiana and our programs in Computing Science, Information Technology and informatics is a positive response to the world today. We are small, but mighty. Our program embraces Human Centered Computing, computing for the good of Humanity and other ecologies. We have courses in accessibility programming, where we create software and hardware for persons with disabilities. We participate in the Association of Computing Machinery’s Computation Competition every October. In 2016, we came in 5th at the site, and 101st in the region, and it was only our second year in the competition.

Physics students at Guilford come from a variety of backgrounds and have a broad spectrum of interests and career goals. About one-third of our physics majors plan for employment in a technical field immediately after graduation. Another third pursue graduate study in physics or astronomy. The remaining third go on to advanced study in another field. The common thread connecting the different goals and focuses of our students and faculty is the physicist’s approach to thinking about, modeling and understanding the universe.
