Colorado School of Mines Increases Women's Participation in Computer Science

April 19, 2019

"The number of women majoring in computer science has more than quintupled over the last 10 years at Colorado School of Mines. Those numbers, along with several initiatives at the school, garnered the school a huge honor: The National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) recently awarded Mines $100,000 for its work to increase meaningful participation in computing education among women."

The NCWIT Extension Services Transformation (NEXT) Awards celebrate past and present Extension Services clients for excellence in recruiting and retaining women in computing education.
