Simone Smarr

Simone Smarr is a Human-Centered Computing doctoral student at the University of Florida. While working in the Human Experience Research lab, she has worked in various areas such as voting technology, educational technology, and user-centered design. Her current research interest lies at the intersection of Computer Science education, learning technology, and culturally relevant computing. Simone has a passion for education, specifically as it pertains to minority populations. She hopes to bridge computing, culture, and education through learning technologies. Simone is a proud Alumna of Spelman College in Atlanta, GA, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. She also holds a graduate certificate in Instructional Design from the University of Florida College of Education.
