Seattle Central Community College is located on Capitol Hill, the vibrant urban center of Seattle life. They are an educational home for their students, a leadership incubator for their community and an economic catalyst for their state and beyond. Since 1966, the college has served the higher education and workforce training needs of more than 500,000 students. Seattle Central is committed to creating a learning environment that is accessible, diverse, responsive, and innovative. The college takes great pride in its diversity. Forty-nine percent of their students identify as American Indian, Asian, Black, Hispanic/Latino, or “other” ethnicity. Thirty percent of their full-time faculty are people of color. Seattle Central is one of only seven Washington State community colleges offering a bachelor’s degree.
