Work with our local ACM-W student chapter, Bluegrass Women in Technology, to host Hour of Code activities for K-12 students during the 2014-2015 academic year. Reach 200+ students and introduce them to programming. Celebrate the accomplishments of women in computing, including high school women.
Bluegrass Women in Technology (BWiT) a student chapter of ACM, used funding from an NCWIT seed grant to sponsor outreach programs to K-12 students to participate in Hour of Code seminars and include high school women pursing computing disciplines to Kentucky Community Colleges – Women in Computing (KYCC-WiC), an ACM-W Regional Celebration.

Held Hour of Code events for:
--150+ high school students on site at Bluegrass Community and Technical College in December 2014
--30+ elementary students at Lansdown Elementary School in December 2014
--30+ middle school students on site at Bluegrass Community and Technical College in December 2014
Invited and hosted high school teachers and students at the 2nd Kentucky Community Colleges - Women in Computing ACM celebration in April 2015. Women from Kentucky and Tennessee attended the celebration. Speakers from ACM-W and Microsoft Research delivered keynote addresses.
To be shared at an Unposter event at the 2015 NCWIT Summit
