Activity Description

Adopt two 4th grade classrooms at Treeline Elementary School. FSoT students will mentor the 4th graders and teach them about programming, robotics, and technology careers. Our AspireIT camps will be held in both Lee and Collier counties and marketed through both of the school districts. We will promote our Aspirations in Computing Award cycle to as many high schools as possible in the South Florida region through email and web content to increase the number of girls that participate in the process.

Progress On Activity
We completed two sessions with Treeline Elementary for the 15-16 school year and we received great feedback from the teachers and the students. We are planning to set up a schedule for the 16-17 school year once the new school year begins in August. Our AspireIT camp in Lee county has girls enrolled from a wide variety of Lee County schools.
