Goal statement
GenderMag helps software developers and usability professionals find and debug gender-inclusiveness issues in their software. Fixing these issues takes down barriers that may disproportionately affect one gender but could also affect a fraction of the other. No background in gender difference research is required.

Activity Description

Use GenderMag to find gender-inclusiveness issues in software.

Progress On Activity
We've run several pilot studies and used them to iteratively improve the method. We're still beta-testing. We hope to go into full distribution mode in about a year.
Update June 2016: We've run several field studies, and have found it to be quite powerful and useful for real-world software projects. We still consider it to be in beta status, and continue to iteratively improve the method. It is freely downloadable here: http://eusesconsortium.org/gender/
