We plan to accomplish this by conducting outreach events, forming an ACMW chapter, and engaging current females to become mentors to high school students via the programs offered via Aspirations in Computing.

VWCS has established a plan for ongoing student leadership. In Spring 2015 the group held three meetings: one on February 16 to get to know each other better, one on March 16 (just before Fall registration began) to help each other with class selection, and one on April 20th in conjunction with the College of Professional Studies programs, where two engineers from Verizon (Courtney George and Damika Harris) talked about their experiences in the tech field. All meetings have been very informative and helpful.

 Our NNW goal is to increase graduating females by 10% to 33%, because our average over 25 years is 23% graduating seniors.  Before joining Pacesetters, our three-year average slipped to 18%, with an actual headcount average of 5 women per class.  After using our NNW strategy (and supporting strategies) our 2017 percent is 42%, and our headcount is 23. DePauw's student body size is approximately 2300, so 1% of student body will graduate with a degree in pure computer science in 2017!
