A two-hour tutorial in the Idea Accelerator (a space for innovation and creativity) on a particular programming language. We're starting with Python and will teach about R in the spring. VWCS has established a plan for ongoing student leadership. In Spring 2015 the group held three meetings: one on February 16 to get to know each other better, one on March 16 (just before Fall registration began) to help each other with class selection, and one on April 20th in conjunction with the College of Professional Studies programs, where two engineers from Verizon (Courtney George and Damika Harris) talked about their experiences in the tech field. All meetings have been very informative and helpful.
