An interest in changing the image and stereotypes of information technology and the people who "do IT" is HP's motivation for funding NCWIT's Image Strategist staff position. This position was created in recognition of the important role that image plays in attracting and retaining top talent in IT professions and fields of study. The person in this position will become a national spokesperson for the computing discipline and lead a national awareness campaign to change the image of IT.
