Gail Farnsley

Background

Gail joined NCWIT in mid-2011 as Program Manager for the newly formed Affinity Group Alliance, and stayed with the alliance until early 2013. In this role she worked with the many affinity groups and networking organization across the US to share promising practices, establish a nationwide communication network, and provide their members with access to cutting-edge, research-based strategies for recruiting, retaining and advancing women. In addition, Gail continues to teach part-time at Purdue University, where she instructs the Women in Technology course in the fall, and leads an India Study Abroad Program over Spring Break. Prior to joining NCWIT, Gail spent a few years working full-time at Purdue, but most of her career has been spent in the corporate world. She began her career as a programmer and her most recent position was as VP of IT and CIO at Cummins, Inc.
Gail has a BS in Computer Science from Bowling Green State University and an MBA from the Krannert School of Management, Purdue University.
She lives in Indianapolis with her husband Art. They have two daughters, Sarah, a dancer with the Louisville Ballet, and Caleigh, a freshman at Otterbein University.
