
Dara Hessee
Background
Dara Hessee is the Chief of Staff for the Governor's Office of Information Technology. In her role she supports the Secretary of Technology & CIO in driving OIT’s value proposition to create long-term value for its customers, plans and manages the execution of the organization’s strategic plan and business operations reporting, oversees the agency's legislative agenda, and directs special projects. Dara has more than 12 years of experience in both the public and non-profit sectors, including conducting legislative audits for the Colorado Office of the State Auditor, performing budget analysis for the City of New York Office of Management and Budget, working with a Brooklyn-based nonprofit to help New Yorkers transcend poverty, and serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in Poland.
Dara earned a Master of Public Administration in Public and Non-profit Management and Policy at New York University in 2004 and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
