University of North Carolina - Greensboro
UNCG faculty and staff work closely with students to help them achieve their goals. Whether you're considering an undergraduate or graduate degree, prefer to learn on campus or online, or you simply want to take a few courses for personal and professional enrichment, you'll be well-prepared, supported and inspired. The Computer Science department offers programs leading to undergraduate (B.S.) and graduate (M.S.) degrees in Computer Science. The courses in the department are designed to teach the foundations of computing rather than a particular technology, so that the student is prepared to change with changing technology. Courses use a variety of programming languages, with introductory courses using Java and further coursework that can include C++, Prolog, PHP, and other languages. Introductory courses use networked microcomputers; advanced courses use UNIX (TM) workstations.
