Volunteer
Several of our partner and affiliate organizations offer opportunities to volunteer, with participation available on a local or a national level. Here are some ideas to get you started:
- MentorNet's industry-focused E-Mentoring One-on-One program pairs students one-on-one with men and women in the field who can share experiences, advice, and encouragement. MentorNet's Academic Career E-Mentoring program pairs graduate students and early career faculty with tenured faculty mentors. www.mentornet.net.
- Girl Scouts of the USA is a broad-reaching resource for extracurricular science and technology education among girls, with over 300 local councils. www.girlscouts.org/volunteer/.
- The National Girls Collaborative Project encourages K-12 girls to enter STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) disciplines and fields of study by promoting collaboration between local programs, and has collaboratives around the country. http://www.ngcproject.org/.
