Santa Monica College

Our mission is to provide an exceptional learning environment in which students can develop the skills and knowledge required for today's technology-oriented jobs and/or fulfillment of the requirements for transfer to four year colleges and universities.
We provide students with leading technology, hands-on experience, on-campus, online, and hybrid classes, free software in select courses, and a variety of certificates and degrees.
CSIS programs offer instruction in Programming, Databases, Networking, Technology Project Management, Robotics, Website Development, Computer Graphics, and Business Office Computer Skills.

Science Club for Girls

Science Club for Girls (SCFG) strives to provide the very best in girls-specific programming, by connecting girls in K-12 grades, especially those from underrepresented groups, with female mentor-scientists through free science and engineering programs in a fun, nurturing, interactive environment. Our leadership program for teenage girls gives them the opportunity to be role models, teach young children science, learn life skills, conduct outreach, and explore careers in science and technology.

SciGirls

SciGirls is a weekly television series and educational outreach program for elementary and middle-school children based on proven best practices for science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education for girls. Launched in February 2011 and produced by Twin Cities Public Television, the episodes are broadcast on most PBS stations. SciGirls is designed to encourage girls to pursue STEM careers, in response to the low numbers of women in many scientific careers.

Seattle Central Community College is located on Capitol Hill, the vibrant urban center of Seattle life. They work with and promote existing activities and organizations in regions around the country, inviting them to meet at an interactive event called an UnConference where the agenda is created live at the event by the people in attendance.
