Florida State University

We have a vibrant and growing department that has changed substantially in recent years in many ways. The number of faculty has significantly increased in the last ten years and the department now has 27 faculty members. Our department offers a bachelor's degree in CS, three tracks for the master's degree in CS, and continues to offer the PhD degree in CS as well. FSU is now one of the few universities in the country offering a bachelor's degree in Computational Biology. We also have created an interdisciplinary bachelor's degree in Computer Criminology by working with the College of Criminology and Criminal Justice. Our research funding and the number of research assistants has significantly increased in recent years. Many of our faculty are internationally recognized, hold distinguished positions on editorial boards and conference committees, and with their students are publishing innovative research in very prestigious conferences and journals.

Fort Hays State University

Fort Hays State University

The Information Systems Engineering (ISE) Program at Fort Hays State University is the only one in the state of Kansas, and it is one among only a handful in the nation. FHSU is recognized as one of the nation's Centers of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education by the National Security Agency (NSA) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS). ISE students will learn how to effectively use or "engineer" Information Systems, which are collections of hardware, software, data, people and procedures that work together to produce quality information. Therefore, the ISE program is a multidisciplinary area of study that involves software, digital storage and retrieval, networks, human computer interaction, information security, digital design and electronic media. Upon graduating from the ISE program, students will be prepared to work with complex information systems and have the skills and knowledge necessary to advance in their careers. Graduates with a degree in ISE are in high demand at various federal agencies and private companies.

FullContact

FullContact

"If you've got an address book, you've got an address book problem."

FullContact is solving the world’s contact information problem. Most people have duplicate contacts, partial records, and out of date records and they're scattered everywhere. Businesses have the same problem but it's worse for them because they have multiple employees, CRMs, marketing automation systems, billing platforms, help desk applications, and other cloud services. What Dropbox did for files and Evernote did for notes, FullContact is doing for contacts. FullContact is available for individuals, businesses, and developers. FullContact is a TechStars Boulder 2011 company funded by Foundry Group, Tango Group and investors like Brad Feld, David Cohen, Dave McClure, Howard Lindzon and Eric Norlin.
