8:35 AM - How to Use NCWIT Resources

Presented by Wendy DuBow, NCWIT Internal Evaluator

NCWIT has a wealth of resources—perhaps so many that you’re a bit overwhelmed. Wendy will walk you through a few that other AA members have implemented most frequently so you can see how to use them to set goals and implement them at your institution. There will be plenty of time for Q&A so bring your questions.

9:05 AM - And the NCWIT Faculty Award Winners are…

Presented by NCWIT Undergraduate Research Mentoring Award Team:

Tommy Simpson, AT&T

Scott McCrickard, Virginia Tech

Maureen Doyle, Northern Kentucky University,

NCWIT will be recognizing four outstanding faculty mentors of Research Experiences for Undergraduate (REU). Members of the AA were asked to nominate faculty members who conduct research with undergraduate students which embody the objectives of NCWIT: individual or team research experiences, including undergraduate women, leading to student accomplishment and professional success. Two junior faculty awards and two senior faculty awards will be given at the Summit. Come hear what they are doing with their students and applaud their success.

9:25 AM - Activity & Change Tracker Update

Presented by AA Recruitment & Engagement Team:

Kiranmai Bellam, Prairie View A&M University

Douglas Blank, Bryn Mawr College

Amy Csizmar Dalal, Carleton College

Sharon Mason, RIT

One year later—the NCWIT ACT tool is active and available!  New features provide more support for the AA community.  Find the goals provided by AA members at last year’s Summit—follow-up, add more detail, read comments on your goal, send comments on another activity.  Connect to others with similar activities!
